What is DApp?
A decentralized app / Dapp definition is that it is an instance of a computer program which does access to a blockchain through a node of the blockchain, and sends a request on the specific node’s copy of the blockchain (usually to transfer coins or to call smart contract functions), and this request gets propagated and written on other nodes copies of the blockchain.
ICON was primarily written in the Python programming language. Beyond the main language, ICON also has a number of SDKs (software development kit) for languages such as Javascript, Java, PHP, C++, and C#.
ICON Network & Vision of Interoperability
BTP (Blockchain Transmission Protocol): A technology to allow other blockchain users to interact with a smart contract on ICON, and smart contract on ICON to interact with a smart contract on other blockchains
Using BTP, DApps can access multiple blockchain community and can interconnect to multiple blockchains.
